It is part of a reputable series of informations system softwares of the The Sage Group. Sage has been around since the eighties and specialized in small and medium sized business. Their priorities are accounting and customer relationship management softwares. They also have a number of material requirement planning softwares for manufacturing companies. Prices for Sage MAS 500 starts at $16,000 for the Small Business Edition, 5 user license and General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) modules and runs up to $45,000 for the Standard Edition, 20 user license that includes General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Inventory Management (IM), Sales Order (SO) and Purchase Order (PO) modules.

  1. I'm sorry. I do not wish to sound harsh, and I am certain that you have only the best of intentions. However, I wish to clarify a couple of points here:

    1. Sage MAS 500 does not operate "on numerous platforms." It operates only on Microsoft SQL Server for the database and only on Microsoft Windows for the client software.

    2. Visual Basice .NET is a programming language and not what one would typically refer to as "a platform."

    I have worked with Sage MAS 500 since its first GA (general availability) release in 1997. It is a good product and Microsoft SQL Server contributes to its stability and reliability.
